The first trailer for The Lone Ranger

The Lone Ranger is a good movie.May wish to bring your family or friends to take a look at this weekend. So says a very odd looking Johnny Depp as the Lone Ranger bolts out of the blocks to fight for justice, for reported $215 million. The production of Disney's blockbuster take on the classic TV series has been beset by production delays, budget cuts and some very expensive steam trains but until now the most
we've seen of it has been some stills of Armie Hammer in a mask and Depp in an outlandish headdress. Disney is hoping the trailer for the film will excite audiences and put to rest rumours that it is an expensive turkey. It's made by the same duo behind the successful Pirates of the Caribbean franchise (director Gore Verbinski and producer Jerry Bruckheimer) and puts Hammer and Depp (Ranger and Tonto) on a collision course with a man who wants to destroy the Old West with trains. "From the time of Alexander the great, no man could travel faster than the horse that carried him, not anymore,” says Tom Wilkinson's villain. "Imagine time and space under the mastery of man. Power that makes emperors and kings look like fools, whoever controls this controls the future." The Lone Ranger is released next July.
